If you are trying to lose weight, you have probably come across a phenomenon known as juicing, which is taking the dieting world by storm. Juicing consists of swapping one or more meals of the day for a juice made from natural fruit and vegetable ingredients, and many dieters are swearing by this method as the reason for their weight loss success. So, how exactly do you go about starting a juicing diet, and can it really help you to lose weight?
Which Juices Are Best for Weight Loss?
In order to be successful when juicing to lose weight, it’s important to put together a well planned juice diet. For example, you’re probably not going to see the results that you’d hoped for if you simply switch to a juice that you can get from the supermarket, that’s full of sugar and additives. On the other hand, consuming juices blended from natural vegetables, known as green juices, with no added sugars or chemicals, can definitely be a significant aid for losing weight. You can buy these juices from a number of dieting companies, health food stores, and in some cases even supermarkets. Or, if you have a good blender, you could even use fresh ingredients to make your own juice.
How Long Until I See Results?
If you’re planning to use juicing in order to try and lose weight, it’s important to understand that like the majority of healthy diets, you’re probably not going to see significant results straight away. As with any healthy eating plan, you will need to stick at it for a prolonged period of time in order to achieve the weight loss goal you desire. Some people juice for around sixty days or more, however, it’s also important to understand that it’s not healthy to stay on a juicing diet for too long, especially if you’re replacing two or more meals a day with the juice. Instead, balance out your diet as much as you can and include the juice, for example, in place of breakfast or lunch. Although your weight may come off slower this way, you will have a better chance of keeping it off – even if you decide to stop juicing in the future.
Planning Your Diet
Of course, there is no magic ingredient you can include in your diet to make you lose weight, and green slow juices are certainly not miracle workers. One of the biggest mistakes that people make when they start juicing is to neglect the other things that they are putting into their body alongside the juices. In order to make sure that you see the results that you want as quickly as possible, including your juice products in a healthy, balanced diet with plenty of exercise is absolutely essential.
